A vital union with Jesus Christ is the essential condition for our apostolic success. We integrate the spiritual and missionary dimension of the charism, contemplation and apostolic activity and witnesses the love of God and the migrants.
Our mission is the evangelical and missionary service to migrants and refugees, especially the poorest ones in situations of great vulnerability, and are in need of specific pastoral care. It is carried out through, evangelization, education, social and cultural activities and manifests itself through the explicit proclamation of Christ through the witness of life or Christian living, in the different context of human mobility; by welcoming the migrant and refugee in his/her diversity valuing the person as the protagonist of communion among peoples.
We seek to live the following of the pilgrim Jesus in the service to the neediest of migrants and refugees. The Scalabrinian charism challenges us to live compassion and solidarity, to take on the apostolic itinerancy by becoming “migrants with the migrants” and witnessing to welcoming and communion in diversity of the peoples on the move.
Our spirituality is centered in Christ and embodied in the reality of the migrants and refugees. It is rooted in God who journeys with His people and in Jesus Christ who places His tent among us. It is lived in the community, nourished by the Eucharist, the devotion to Mary, listening to the Word of God, and to the pleas of migrants and refugees.
